Tributes paid to loving wife and mother who has passed away from Covid-19

A well-known local butcher confirmed last week that his “amazing” wife has died from coronavirus Paul Conway, who runs Paul’s Quality Butchers, took to social media on Tuesday night to share the news of mum-of-five Karen’s passing.

In a poignant and eloquent Facebook post about his dear wife, who was a published writer, he wrote: “With total shock and with a heavy heart, my amazing wife Karen has passed away on January 18 with a short and sudden battle with Covid.

“Words can’t begin to tell you how myself and our five kids are feeling right now, your future was going to be so exciting, bright and positive especially with your new business venture The Room Upstairs.

“I promise we will keep your legacy in the forefront of everyone’s minds and as a family we will continue to make people smile as you did this so well no matter what was going on in your daily struggles.

“You always did your best to keep everyone smiling.

“Your amazing smile and laugh would full a room of joy this will never be forgotten.

“You’ve been our rock throughout our lives and will struggle daily without you but we will do our very best to make you proud.

“You’ve given me so many happy memories and five beautiful kids who will continue to have you shining in all of them which will keep me strong.“You’ve always believed in me right from the start.

“You always championed me in everything I did and I will continue to champion you in telling the world about you as an author and how amazing a daughter, sister, friend, mother and wife you were.

“Karen I promise you, you’ll never be forgotten. Always in our hearts. All my endless love, Paul.”
