Ainsley stars in Supershow

CUMBERNAULD pupil Ainsley Devlin had a starring role in making the 14th Supercounty Supershow an outstanding musical success.

Ainsley, a senior pupil at Abronhill High School, formed part of a top-line cast of more than 230 pupils from 18 schools. The 28 acts received a rousing reception at Hamilton Town House.

Ainsley sang a version of Kelly Clarkson’s “Beautiful Disaster” and was congratulated by show compere Gordon Cree, Scottish orchestrator, pianist, conductor and composer.

The event, organised by Supercounty , was again sponsored by M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park. John Scott, head of Supercounty, said: “This was another wonderful showcase of musical talent. The young people combined their outstanding musical ability and presentation skills along with an air of confidence to perform to such a high standard in front of a 700-strong audience.”

“That’s what we at Supercounty are striving to encourage – nurturing that confidence which, in later life, will stand the young people in good stead in whatever career they choose to pursue.

“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to M&D’s for their support and sponsorship which allows this wonderful showcase event to take place.”
