Corbies welcome Lift Shaft Incident

THIS week’s performance at the Twa Corbies comes courtesy of The Lift Shaft Incident.

The band, who promise to “shake the Twa Corbies all night long with a selection of face melting covers from AC/DC, The Gossip, Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, Stereophonics to name but a few” have a monthly residency at Whistle Binkies in Edinburgh and recently played at the Tall Ships event in Greenock.

The Lift Shaft Incident, appearing on their “No Standing, Only Dancing” tour. also have strong ties to Cumbernauld, with three of their members being local - drummer Gary McDonald and guitarists John McKinley and James Gordon.

The Lift Shaft Incident have an affiliation with Cumbernauld as three of their members are local boys.

Gary McDonald (drums), John McKinley (guitar) and James Gordon (guitar) have all played in local bands for many years.

Lead singer Pamela Nelson is well known for her distinctive dress sens, while bassist Mark Fleming is a seasoned veteran who has performed with many well-known musicians over the years.

The band say they’re considering becoming regular performers at the Corbies if they pull in the crowds, so to give them some encouragement pop along on Friday, November 18. Doors open 8pm and tickets are a bargain £3.
