5. Gaga Bar + Kitchen - Hairy Biker Dave Myers
After Glasgow chef Julie Lin appeared in an episode of The Hairy Bikers Go Local, television personality Dave Myers returned to Glasgow to sample Julie’s cooking at Gaga Bar + Kitchen on Dumbarton Road, given the place a glowing endorsement.
6. Unalome - Ron Mackenna
The Herald’s restaurant reviewer Ron Mackenna is a fan: “Every city needs a place or two for that blow-out, super-special-occasion dinner. And this is certainly it.”
7. Gomo Kimchi - Rick Stein
Celebrity chef Rick Stein enjoyed the food in Govanhill with food author Ben Mervis at Gomo Kimchi for his television series.
8. The Belle - Tom Parker Bowles and Olly Smith
The food and drink writers teamed up for a list of their favourite places, with Olly saying of The Belle on Great Western Road: “My dear friends Tom and Cathy took me here when they were expecting their first child, and aside from our convivial and celebratory glow, the warm atmosphere of The Belle has stayed with me.
