The event which will take place at the Trust’s base at Uddingston on Sunday, December 6 from 12pm to 3pm.

The rehoming centre hosts this festive event but staff are in urgent need of donations for the tombola and raffle which raise hundreds of pounds for the homeless hounds every year.

The centre is also appealing for toys, blankets and tinned food to be brought along on the day so the 60 dogs spending Christmas at the rehoming centre can enjoy a tasty treat for their Christmas dinner and have a new toy to play with come Christmas morning.

Emma Louise Livingstone, supporter relations officer at Dogs Trust Glasgow, said: ‘‘Our Christmas Fair is always a highlight of our calendar and this year promises to be another great day out for the whole family. With all proceeds going towards the care of our dogs at the centre whilst they await new homes, it’s a wonderful way to raise pounds for hounds and give back this Christmas.”

Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to enjoy such highlights as a doggy tombola, grand raffle and the chance to meet our very own Santa Paws whilst indulging in a mince pie or two! There will also be the opportunity to pick up Christmas gifts, cards and stocking fillers from various stalls selling treats, gifts and crafts.

If you would like to make a donation visit why not pop into Dogs Trust Glasgow, 315 Hamilton Road, Uddingston, Glasgow, G71 7SL or see www.dogstrust.org.uk for more information.
