STUDENTS from the Cumbernauld Kumon Centre gained recognition for their success and continued development studying on the Kumon maths and/or English programmes.
Over 100 parents and guests attended the award ceremony held in Craighalbert Church. Jamie Hepburn MSP and John Dick, youth and community pastor at Craighalbert Church, presented gold, silver, bronze medals and certificates in recognition of students’ achievements.
Kumon is one of the leading after-school education providers in the UK and Ireland, offering both maths and English programmes for children of all ages and abilities.
Brenda Boyd, instructor at the Cumbernauld Kumon Centre, said: “Nationally, in Cumbernauld, we have one of the highest percentages in Scotland for achievement in Kumon.
“A number of our Cumbernauld gold medallists are on course to be among the youngest completers of the English programme in the UK by next year although we are still a few years away from a maths completer.”
