Talking of a Fresh Start

Lanarkshire has one of Scotland’s worst suicide rates and Now You’re Talking exists to provide a means for people to discuss and resolve their problems.

The charity, which operates from the New Life Centre in Seafar House, was set up as a complementary service to work done by other organisations such as the NHS. Said chairman David McArthur: “All who work in this sector are determined to bring down the numbers of people who attempt or commit suicide. Choose Life, with Greg Burgess at the helm in North Lanarkshire, are doing fantastic work in training in suicide prevention in our community. Safe Talk and ASIST are just two of the courses that can save and change lives.
