Pupils from Abronhill High School have brought glory to Cumbernauld after landing a top trophy
These talented pupils at Abronhill High School have first prize in the Lanarkshire Schools Speaking Competition.
After drafting two very well-penned speeches, they argued passionately against a motion for imposing a curfew on teens and even included verse and a musical interlude in their no-holds barred performance.
Beth Reid (13) and Lewis Leonard (14) delivered the speeches that were effectively a joint effort with two other pupils Kieran Butler (14) and Sarah Swinton (13) – who also played the guitar as Beth sang.
