Addicts’cafe aid

The popular town centre café is opening on Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm to anyone struggling with issues related to addiction, including sufferers’ friends and family members.

Lesley Murray who works at the cafe said: “The evening is called Kerusso. It is a voluntary community drop-in facility associated with Kilsyth Community Church that provides information, advice and support for individuals whose life, families, or friends have been affected by life- controlling habits.

“We felt there was a need for such a facility where people could come to a relaxed safe environment for support in total confidence.

“The volunteers at Kerusso have a wide range of experience and are committed to working with individuals and enabling them to rebuild their lives.
