Now an investigation into sheep worrying has been launched and police say that they will take a zero-tolerance policy towards owners who allow dogs to harm other animals in rural areas.

Inspector Jane Donaldson who is Police Scotland’s rural crime co-ordinator stated “The worrying of sheep by domestic dogs has an obvious financial and emotional impact on farmers when their animals are killed.

“The devasting effects of a dog attack simply cannot be overstated.”
