Now a simple ceremony involving a number of the most prominent community groups of Kilsyth have marked exactly 25 years to the day since the dedication of the tranquil patch of land in the heart of the town.

Members of Kilsyth Community Council, Friends of Burngreen Park and the Kilsyth Town Twinning Association were joined by pupils from Kilsyth Primary, Pastor Mark Fleming of Kilsyth Community Church, elected officials and members of the public in marking the occasion.
