Another green flag for Rouken Glen Park

The award, administered by environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful, is the benchmark for outdoor spaces.

Judges test whether the park is welcoming, safe, clean and well-maintained, sustainable, managing conservation and heritage, has community involvement and markets itself with good management .

Derek Robertson, KSB chief executive, said: “This is great news for Giffnock and East Renfrewshire. Rouken Glen is a credit to the area.”

Councillor Vincent Waters added that the park is “the jewel in East Renfrewshire’s crown”.
