Scoffairs, who run a series of local antique fairs, is coming to the Southside later this month as Bellahouston Sports Centre opens its doors to retro lovers.

A great shopping experience, antiques for the connoisseur, hidden treasures for the experts, specialist items for the experienced collector, and 1,000s of interesting, beautiful and affordable items are laid out for the general public.

Always on offer for sale is pottery, porcelain, glass, antique and estate jewellery, costume jewellery, pictures and prints, books, copper and brass, silver, linen, small items of furniture and collectors items such as coins, postcards, stamps, militaria, football memorabilia and ephemera.

Organisers say: “A growing number of people are renting stands at our fairs to dispose of their own property or collections or to sell off inherited estate goods which are maybe too good for car boot sales. With auction houses now charging sellers and buyers combined premiums of around 40 per cent, it can be a cost effective way to sell off unwanted items.

Visitors and stallholders with items that are not their speciality can also get free valuations at the fairs.

Specialist registered dealers can offer free valuations without obligation on all antique, vintage and collectors items.
