Appeal after assault at city centre nightclub

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a disturbance at a nightclub in Glasgow city centre.

Around 0135 hours on Saturday, January 20, police were called to a report that three men aged 19, 20 and 22 years had been assaulted by a group of men during a disturbance within Campus, Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow. The 20 year-old man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and was released after treatment for a facial injury.

The other two men did not require hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Andy Shields of City Centre Police Office said: “Officers have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and we are following a number of lines of enquiry.

“We believe that a few people in the club may have filmed this disturbance on their phones, and I would ask them, and any other witnesses to come forward to police.”
