Bag packers raise funds for Spina Bifida Association

IT was a busy week for the Scottish Spina Bifida Association last week after hosting a successful business networking day and a charity bag pack.

The team had organised a morning meeting to raise the profile of the charity and to allow a networking session to take place between local businesses.

Claire McNeill, trusts and corporate fundraising manager at the Scottish Spina Bifida Association said: “This was the first free networking event to help local businesses and those who attended have all reported that the morning was a fantastic success.

“I am pleased to announce that the SSBA will host a free networking event every month and we look forward to meeting new businesses on Friday, October 28, 8am to 10am at the Dan Young Building, Craighalbert Way.”

The organisation also managed to raise £175 with a sponsored bag pack at Iceland in the Town Centre.

Lynsey Hamilton, fundraising officer at the Scottish Spina Bifida Association, said: “We are delighted that Iceland Cumbernauld allowed us to bag pack and raise funds for the organisation and we are extremely grateful to all the customers who generously donated to such a worthwhile cause.”
