Blood donors in Cumbernauld and Kilsyth urged to attend session

A SIMPLE way to make a difference to the lives of critically ill patients is by giving blood - and locals will have the chance to do that in Condorrat on Tuesday, August 9.

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service will be visiting Pollock Halls in Maree Drive from 4pm to 7.30pm - in what is a timely appearance from the dedicated team of nurses and technicians.

Holiday times are a point where there is a shortage of blood and the service needs to receive 1000 donations per DAY to keep vital supplies at their safest level across Scotland’s hospitals.

The service is particularly keen to target individuals who have not given blood before - as only five per cent of the eligible population currently give blood.
