Both Tescos in Cumbernauld will be participating in the flash sale phenomenon that is Black Friday, it has been confirmed.
This year’s event falls on November 25 and crowded scenes are anticipated in both stores, as shoppers try to acquire big ticket goods at knockdown prices.
Rival Asda did not participate in last year’s event and its press office would not be drawn at this stage on whether a decision had been made to take part this year.
Black Friday originated in the United States in 1932.
It falls the day after Thanksgiving and marks the start of the Christmas shopping season with four day -long promotional sales.
