Kildrum Parish Church has received a grant of £6000 from the Asda Foundation to complete renovation works including the installation of new toilets.

The application was supported by the Asda Cumbernauld and will help the church continue to offer facilities for the Boys’ Brigade, Scouts and Girl Guides as well as activities for children with special needs and lunch clubs for the elderly.

Church elder and treasurer Robert Frew said: “We are so grateful to Asda Cumbernauld for this amazing donation. The new facilities will allow us to continue to welcome the community into the church for their weekly activities.”

Asda Cumbernauld community colleague Lynne Morrison added: “Supporting smaller, local applications such as this is really important to us and we hope it will make a real difference within the community.”
