Cabinet secretary in town

Scottish politician Angela Constance will visit Cumbernauld today (Wednesday, June 25) to talk about the independence referendum.

Mrs Constance is the Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Training, Youth and Women’s Employment.

She is currently touring Scotland to host Q&A sessions with the public and holding cabinet meetings outside Edinburgh as part of the buildup to the referendum.

The Cumbernauld event will be at 7.30pm at the Village Community Hall in the Wynd and anyone is welcome to come and get answers to their questions about the propsals set out in the referendum White Paper, Scotland’s Future.

Constituency representative Jamie Hepburn MSP said: “I am delighted that Angela Constance is coming to Cumbernauld to take part in this question and answer session on independence “This event will give people across the community the chance to hear more about the case for independence, as well as giving them the opportunity to ask questions about the issues that matter most to them.”
