Central heatingputs Irisat risk

A WOMAN with several disabilities has claimed her safety has been put at risk after workers installing a new heating system left her home in a mess.

Iris Henderson, who lives in Braehead Road, Kildrum, had her central heating condemned on May 21 after an engineer carrying out a routine inspection advised she would need a replacement system.

The 59-year-old, who was born with restricted growth which has given her several disabilities, says she had to endure a further five weeks without any heating or hot water before the replacement system was given the go-ahead to be installed.

And when it was eventually installed, the whole house was turned upside down as workers moved furniture and ripped up flooring putting Iris’, who is just 3’ 5”, health and safety at risk.
