Condorrat Parish Church hold summer fete

The support to help raise funds to refurbish Condorrat Parish Church continued on Saturday with the annual summer fete - despite the miserable weather.

The event was opened by MP Gregg McClymont, and attended by the congregation and local community.

The usual stalls, and home-baking delights kept the crowds entertained, but the real focus was raising as much money as possible to help boost the church’s efforts to carry out essential building work.

Money raised will complement the £30,000 the church was granted from the Environmental Key Fund.

MP Gregg McClymont said: “The organising team at Condorrat Parish are to be congratulated for making the day such a success despite the bad weather.

“I had the pleasure of opening the fete and I would like to thank Rev Grace Saunders for inviting me along.”
