Crew in race against time

Group 2 showed off their skills in extracting a live ‘‘casualty’’ from within an upturned car, easily meeting the 20 minute target time.

Crew Commander Tony McLaughlin was also honoured for his performance, he was named third overall in the Incident Commander section.

Station Commander John McShane said: “I’m extremely pleased for Group 2, the performance they gave displayed the high standards we have here.

“I’m delighted for Tony as well, he’s very enthusiastic and always works hard.”
