A snack van parked in Cumbernauld’s Castlecary was broken into sometime between 5pm on Saturday, September 7, and 9am on Monday, September 9. It is believed that the door of the van was forced open. Goods and a two figure sum of cash were stolen.

A 22 year old Falkirk man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal after allegedly being found in possession of a quantity of Class A drugs. The incident happened in the Eastfield Road area of Cumbernauld on the evening of Saturday. September 7. The man was stopped by police near to Dobbies Garden Centre where he was found with the drugs in his possession.

Thieves have failed in their attempts to steal a Kia Sportage car from outside a house in the Greenfaulds area of Cumbernauld. Police say damage was caused to the steering column and wiring during the incident which happened between 10pm on Thursday, September 5 and 7.15am the following day.

A 24 year old Cumbernauld man was expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, September 9, after being allegedly found in possession of a quantity of Class B drugs.
