Broadwood Loch safety fears

Safety fears have been raised about a Cumbernauld beauty spot, where vandals and thieves are repeatedly stealing vital safety equipment.

The lifebelt at Broadwood Loch has had to be replaced a staggering 36 times in the past three years.

Although locals are always discouraged from swimming in the artificial lake, council officials installed a lifebelt post to help prevent tragedies.
