Businesses targeted by thieves

Cable was stolen and two vending machines were damaged after crooks broke into Cummings Ltd, Cumbernauld.

It is believed that they forced entry into the premises through the front door.

It happened between 6.30am on September 20 and 8.15am on September 30.

Meanwhile, scrap metal was nicked from an electrical company in Cumbernauld.

Police say the break-in at the firm on Napier Road in the town happened between 5pm on Wednesday, September 25, and 11am on Friday, September 27.

It is believed the thieves used a jemmy or similar to overcome the fire door.
