Cumbernauld machete man stopped
An armed man who was wandering round a Cumbernauld neighbourhood with a machete was stopped by police on patrol yesterday (Wednesday)
The man who is 35-years-old was spied in Stonylee Road around 7.30pm with the weapon.
Officers approached the man and arrested him. The machete was then seized and the man was taken to Coatbridge police station.
He was released and a court appearance is pending.
