Did bogus workman have more victims after weekend theft?

The incident happened in Barke Road Seafar at around 11.30am.

The thief who is around 30-years-old had talked his way into her home, saying he would clear guttering. He was then seen running off with the item.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have seen this man - and are warning our readers to be on their guard and to let police know if this man appears elsewhere in Cumbernauld or Kilsyth.

They cannot outrule either that the man had his own vehicle - or that he had an accomplice with him.
