Illegal quad biking leads to police callout in Cumbernauld

Officers are trying to trace an individual who picked up a quad bike and drove it around a densely populated part of the town.

Police were called round to Glenhove Road in Carbraim around 9pm on Wednesday, amidst claims that the the powerful bike was being driven at speed around the area’s footpaths.

When officers arrived, the driver had made good his escape but left the bike behind.

The distinctive bike bears the Hymoto brand and is orange in colour. Police had not identified the actual owner at the time of issuing this appeal.
