Kilsyth teen tippler lashed out at officers tasked with taking him home

Police have confirmed that they dealt with a highly charged incident in Kilsyth involving a minor, hours before he was due to turn up for school.

Officers arrived at High Barrwood Road in Kilsyth at 1am on Tuesday where a 15-year-old boy was said to be under the influence.

As is common practise, the boy was taken home by the officers in duty but the matter allegedly did not end there.

For the boy then allegedly lashed out at the officers involved - and a struggle ensued.

It’s alleged that the child resisted arrest, assaulted officers and committed a breach of the peace.
