Man (19) arrested after being found in garden in Kilsyth

The alarm was raised around 11.05am on Tuesday, December 29 when a man was seen acting suspiciously outside a property in the town’s Murray Avenue.

Police quickly caught up with the man who is 19-years-old.

He was then arrested after the officers involved came to the conclusion he had made his way to the house with the intention to commit an act of theft from the premises.

However the matter did not end there after another discovery was made shortly afterwards

For the man was searched

and was found in a possession of a small amount of controlled drugs.

A report on this incident has been sent to the procurator fiscal in Airdrie.
