Man arrested after fire started in block of flats
Police have confirmed that a 21-year-old man has been arrested after an incident in Glenacre Road yesterday (Wednesday)
The emergency services were called to the flats around 11.30pm amidst reports that a ground floor storage cupboard was ablaze.
Communities Inspector Neil MacLeod said: “Fortunately the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were able to swiftly extinguish the fire and make the area safe meaning no requirement to evacuate the block.
“A police enquiry resulted in a 21-year- old male being arrested and charged. A report is being sent to the procurator fiscal
