Man with toy bow and arrow arrested in Carbrain

A police helicopter was dispatched to Carbrain yesterday (Monday) after reports of a man with a bow and arrow.

Residents of Torbrex Road were told to stay indoors during the incident at around 8.20pm, however it was later discovered the weapon was just a toy.

A man has been charged with an alleged breach of the peace and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A vulnerable male was reported to be causing a disturbance in Torbrex Road at 8.20pm with what appeared to be a bow and arrow.

“This was later found to be a toy. There were no injuries.

“The man was arrested for breach of the peace and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”
