£250k cannabis harvest seized in Wishaw

Police Scotland officers recovered a large cannabis cultivation in Wishaw yesterday (Monday, 2 November)

Officers from Lanarkshire Proactive Crime Team, in an intelligence led police operation searched an address under warrant, and recovered a quantity of cannabis plants with a street value estimated to be in the region of £250,000.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the recovery and was expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court today (Tuesday, 3 November)

Sergeant Gillian Willows from Police Scotland’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit said: “We are committed to targeting the illegal supply of drugs in our communities and any information we receive will be taken seriously and acted upon.
