Investigations into the disappearance of Abronhill man Thomas Lamb continue, so far without success.
Chief Inspector David Bruce, the senior police officer in the Cumbernauld area, told the News and Chronicle this morning: “We are nearing the end of door to door enquiries and the ground search phase. There continue to be reported sightings at various locations in Cumbernauld, Glasgow and further afield which are being followed up but so far have not come to anything.”
Mr Lamb (79), who was recently widowed, was last spotted in Abronhill at around 6.30pm on Saturday. Intensive searches in Abronhill and elsewhere have been ongoing ever since, with many civilian volunteers also contributing their efforts.
