Serious assault happened after brawl in Kilsyth Street

Police have confirmed that arrests have been made in regard to a highly charged incident in at a Kilsyth address last Thursday (May 6)

Officers received a report of an ongoing disturbance outside an address in the town’s Northfield Road around 8.45pm.

Horrified eyewitnesses saw a dispute unfold – and the parties involved being injured in the process.

It has been confirmed that two males, aged 41 and 37-years-old were arrested for a breach of the peace – and so were two females who are 34 and 30-years-old.A 33- year-old male was also arrested for a serious assault on a 41 year old male and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 41- year-old male remains in hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
