Cumbernauld bridge plunge
Motorists and pedestrians looked on in horror following an emergency on Tuesday, February 18.
Stunned eyewitnesses saw a man plunge to the ground and rushed to his aid.
Police were summoned who in turn called paramedics.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “I can confirm that we received a call at 6.50pm and were at the scene three minutes later. A male patient was transferred to Monklands Hospital.
