Cumbernauld day care centre in line for major upgrade

SERVICES for older people in Cumbernauld are set for a £1.2 million upgrade with the replacement of a day centre.

The Antonine Older People’s Day Centre in Seafar, which opened in 1994, is to be torn down and replaced by a purpose-built facility.

North Lanarkshire Council had planned to spend £500,000 on refurbishing the centre.
