A charity extravaganza which will see dog walkers circle the scenic surroundings of Broadwood Loch has been planned for Sunday, April 24.
The walk will kick off at 2pm and the organisers have been in touch, in the hope that as many pet owners as possible will take part.
Organiser Laura Brady of Craigside Place in Westfield has seen a beloved family member receive assistance for Cystic Fibrosis through the Butterfly Trust.
The condition stems from a faulty gene that causes mucus to gather in the lungs and digestive system and creates a range of challenging symptoms which need round-the-clock care.
Laura said: “The Butterfly Trust do so much good work I just wanted to find a way to give something back.
“So we would like to invite as many people as possible to take part.”
