Cumbernauld school’s boost for good causes

ST Lucy’s Primary School recently presented more than £2700 to various good causes.

This cash total was boosted by everything from school show ticket sales to Lenten fundraising, themed events and more, and the school invited representatives of the chosen organisations to come to the school and collect these very welcome cheques.

Pictured here are the school’s guests at this presentation ceremony - they were, (rear row, left to right) Claire Muir of Tradecraft, Tommy Anderson from St Andrew’s Hospice, Michael Mesarowicz from St Margaret’s Family Care, Kilts For Kids representative Kirtsen Dugan, John Evitt from Missio, Strathcarron Hospice’s Angela Gillies and Isobel Ann Johnstone from SCIAF.

In the front row are pupils who served on school committees to organise this fundraising throughout the school year.
