A Facebook appeal has been launched to help trace a missing teenager who was last seen in Cumbernauld on Monday.
A neighbour last saw Jamie Andrew McAllister (19) on Abronhill’s Rowan Road, at around 4pm.
Worried family and friends have been sharing their search on the social networking site Facebook in an effort to find him.
His aunt Tracy McAllister McGill said on the website that he had sent worrying messages to a friend at 3am on Tuesday, September 16, and no one has heard from him since.
She said: “Family just want him home safe and well. If anyone has any information, please get in touch.”
Police Scotland confirmed that they have received a missing person’s report and they are carrying out extensive inquiries to trace Jamie safe and well.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cumbernauld Police Office on 101.
