Cumbernauld Tesco staff sign up for Race For Life

STAFF at Tesco Extra Cumbernauld will be encouraging customers to sign up for the Race For Life in support of Strathcarron Hospice.

A number of in-store events will be held and many of the employees will themselves be entering the race to raise cash for the charity. Race For Life, which is sponsored by Tesco, is firmly underway with races being held all over the UK.

Forthcoming events near Cumbernauld include Glasgow Green (June 5) and the University of Stirling (June 29). The 5K and 10K races are open to women of all ages.

The local supermarket workers will be doing their bit to raise awareness of the race, with all sorts of in-store events planned. One plucky colleague has even agreed to be the victim of a sponsored leg waxing!
