A SPECIAL money saving fun day for dog owners is taking place at Palacerigg Country Park on Saturday (August 20) when a so-called Dogs Fun Day gets under way.
Here, FREE microchipping is available for dogs - in a move that could save owners as much as £20 - as this is the sum that a vet may charge for the procedure.
The service ensures that a missing animal can be more easily identified when found by a warden.
PDSA staff will also attend to give dogs a FREE health check.
Free poop scoops and bags will also be distributed at the event, which is run by North Lanarkshire Council.
The event which is billed as a means of rewarding responsible dog owners, is set to run from 10am to 4pm.
