Drop-off point in Cumbernauld for clothing

A number of readers have called this week, wanting to know if there is a central drop -off point in Cumbernauld where donations can be left for refugees.

The organisation Cumbernauld Helping Refugees has confirmed that gifts of warm winter clothing and shoes will be gratefully received at the constituency office of MSP Jamie Hepburn and MP Stuart McDonald.

The office is located at 13, The Wynd and the goods will be passed on to the charity Glasgow The Caring City who have spent the last few months driving to and from camps in the Balkans to deliver the goods.

Sanctuary Cumbernauld have also agreed for some lock-ups in the village to be used as a depot for the goods you’ve donated.
