Drugs arrests in Cumbernauld and Kilsyth

Police have made a series of drugs-related arrests in Cumbernauld and Kilsyth.

A 25-year-old male was arrested after he allegedly allowed his home to be used as a place where drugs were taken.

It is understood that a substance was being smoked and police were called in.

The incident took place at the weekend in Lomond Grove in Condorrat.

A report on this incident has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that police have made another arrest in Cumbernauld, in relation to an alleged drug dealer.

A 33-year-old was stopped by police at the weekend after being found allegedly in possession of a quantity of drugs at a home in Mossgiel Road in Kildrum.

The male is accused of trying to sell ecstasy, cannabis and valium.

A report on this incident has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

Police have also confirmed that they have arrested a pensioner in Kilsyth in connection with drugs-related offences.

A 65-year-old was arrested in the town with regard to the possession and supply of drugs.

The pensioner was the subject of a police swoop on Sunday at 8.25pm.

It is alleged that the male was in possession of cocaine and cannabis and that he intended to supply this within a house in Rennie Road.

He was arrested and a report has been sent to the fiscal.
