Drugs seized in Cumbernauld

Cumbernauld has been the scene of a drugs seizure after cocaine and cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £15,500 were recovered from a vehicle near a roundabout on Friday.

Police Scotland have confirmed that the vehicle was stopped and searched at the Back O’ Hill area, near the busy Craiglinn Interchange at 3pm.

Officers confirmed that the drugs were then seized and a man was arrested.

A 46-year-old man has been arrested and detained in police custody in connection with the drugs recovery.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
