New online booking system for vans at recycling centres

North Lanarkshire Council has launched a new online system for booking vans and trailers into recycling centres.

Residents can book to use a van, a hired van, a works van or a single-axle trailer to dispose of household waste at four centres: Netherdale Road, Netherton; Foundry Road, Shotts; Stobcross Street, Coatbridge; and Wardpark Industrial Estate, Cumbernauld.

A council spokesperson said: “The online van booking service is for residential waste only. Commercial/business waste will not be accepted, and proof of a North Lanarkshire address and photo ID will be required.”
