Urgent flood warning issued by SEPA

Significant impacts are possible from surface water flooding on Friday afternoon and evening across the country due to heavy, thundery showers.

In the north east, these impacts may continue to be seen overnight and into Saturday morning.

Minor impacts are also possible if showers occur over fast responding and small watercourses.

SEPA has issued regional flood alerts across the country. A team of expert staff will closely monitor and issue updates as required.

Minor impacts from surface water are likely to occur in isolated locations across Scotland on Saturday and are possible on Sunday.
