Volunteers needed for new Knitters and Stitchers group

Watch US Grow launched the Bungalow Project last month to develop key skills for students with support needs, and offering a range of activities from basic cookery to stargazing.

A key part of the project will be the Knitters and Stitchers group which is currently recruiting a group of volunteers.

General manager Ann McCulloch said: “We are looking for people with sewing and knitting experience to join our purpose built facility who will help us to make lovely goods for our Baby Steps enterprise which employs adults with support needs.

“Transport will be provided, as will tea and coffee. We have fabric, sewing machines, and great company, and we are really keen to hear from anyone who would like to help us with this.”
