Expensive equipment stole from Cumbernauld airport

THIEVES working to order might have been behind a £15,000 raid at Cumbernauld Airport.

A building at the airport was broken into sometime between Wednesday, August 15, and Thursday, August 16.

Those responsible took an expensive piece of video equipment, an Olympus Iplex Ultralight Videoscope Kit, which is used to look inside aircrafts.

The video equipment allows for hard to reach areas to be seen by staff and is used as part of service and maintenance work.

It was snatched in the portable case it was stored in alongside a four-figure sum of cash.
