Family Matters

PARENTS: Mum Nicole McAllister, 20, is a former student at Cumbernauld College and dad Martyn Edwards, 24, is a data telephone engineer. The couple live in Cumbernauld. Reo is their second child and Reo is a wee brother to Ruby Margaret Edwards, 19 months.

PREGNANCY: Nicole’s pregnancy went really well. Apart from heartburn she was lucky.

BIRTH: Nicole got an induction and the labour happened so fast so that within three hours baby Reo had arrived. Thankfully there were no complications and mum and baby went home the same day.

BABY: Baby Reo is a really good baby, he sleeps well and feeds well. He is putting on weight and is thriving ever so well.

NAME: Nicole picked the name Reo whilst she was pregnant The name Rylee was a name they also liked but Reo suited better.

GRANDPARENTS: Nicole’s parents Elaine and Rupert McAllister live in Craigmarloch. while Martyn’s dad Barry and stepmum Fiona live in Greenfaulds.

THANKS: Martyn and Nicole thank all staff at Ward 22 as well as everyone who has kindly sent them cards and gifts. Nicole said: “We are truly blessed to have two beautiful kids.”
